Gravity Student Ministries
Gravity Student Ministries exists to equip students to live in light of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel—like gravity—comes with consequences. Just as knowing “what goes up must come down” keeps you from carrying something heavy over your head or toes, so too the Gospel compels you to “do justice, love kindness, and to walk humbly with God.”
For students grades 6-12, we know that what this looks like can vary drastically. Our aim is to support parents and families in the task of passing on the faith. We emphasize equipping students with the Word of God and cultivating godly relationships amongst peers and adult leaders.
Our logo—like our name—is meant to serve as a quick and easy reminder of some important truths about Christianity.
There are four Ds that can summarize the Christian life: drama, doctrine, doxology and discipleship.
First, the Bible tells a story. It is the unfolding drama of God saving sinners.
Second, the drama reveals important truths—doctrines— that shape how we live and think and see the world.
Third, the beauty of the drama and of the doctrines leads us to worship God—doxology.
Fourth, finding ourselves in the unfolding drama, experiencing the truth of the doctrines, and the praiseworthiness of God, we commit to a life of bearing fruit—discipleship.
Students grades 6 – 12 are welcome to join us on Sunday nights from 6–7:30PM!
